Ministry History

On February 4th, 1943 the Christian Businessmen's Committee of San Diego opened a chapel for servicemen in the Continental Room of the San Diego Hotel where the gospel was preached every night. On July 20th, 1945 that same group moved the Center to a new to bigger location located at 1009 Columbia Street. In 1987 they once again moved the Center to 432 E Street until 2000. We moved four times since then.

In February of 2011 we launched our monthly Treasure Bag For Troops event where we shared the gospel with our troops and their families as well as give out groceries. We did this at military housing located at 8420 Krenz Street on the last Saturday of the month. This went on until 2019 when we moved to City View Church at 8404 Phyllis Place where we currently hold our monthly Treasure Bag Troops event on the third Saturday of the month.

Throughout all that time and the different changes, the method in which we shared the gospel may have changed, but the message has never change.
